The strategic renewal process consisted of three main stages:
Stage 1: September to December 2015
The first phase of the project involved open-ended discussions about the University and its future directions with stakeholders from on and off campus.
Stage 2: January to April 2016
In the second phase of the process, the strategic renewal advisory committee distilled key themes or topics that arose from first-phase discussions. The committee then explored those topics or themes, which were incorporated into a draft strategic renewal document .
Stage 3: May to June 2016
The process concluded with the draft strategic renewal document being shared for community consultation and submitted to Board of Governors and Senate for consideration.
The Senate and Board of Governors unanimously approved the document.
